The Maritime Rescue Service has intercepted 31 sub-Saharans, including three women and a baby, who were trying to make their way to Spain in small boats.
Between 07:00 and 07:15 on Monday morning, the authorities began receiving calls from people on the boats. The first boat was located about 11 miles west of Tarifa, the second about 11.5 miles off Tarifa and the third boat about 13 miles south west of Tarifa.
The migrants were transported to the port of Tarifa for further processing. All were said to be in good health.
