A new municipal ordinance in Mojácar to ensure tranquility for tourists visiting the town includes a ban on noise produced by the playing of dominoes or games of chance on bar terraces and on the porches of residential properties.
Mayor Rosa María Cano said that these measures, highlighted by the opposition, form only a part of the broader measures introduced to control noise pollution, adding that there is no record of any complaints about noise from games played on terraces and that the ordinance would only be applied in extreme cases where residents make a complaint.
