National Police have dismantled a large scale drugs organisation run by Dutch citizens, arresting around twenty people so far and seizing 12,000 cannabis sativa plants after raids at various locations in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella and Vélez-Málaga.
There were raids on 22 premises leading to the arrest of around twenty people of varying nationalities. The drugs were being produced for distribution throughout Europe.
The investigation has been widened to include allied offences, such as money laundering in relation to the proceeds from the sale of the drugs, and defrauding the electric companies due to the high consumption required and the need to bypass the system to avoid detection.
