Valerón, Pizzi, Olveira and Bruna Gama gave Deportivo a useful 0-4 win at Levante while Valencia slip to fifth after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Espanyol.
Wakaso put Espanyol into the lead just before the break, latching on to a Sergio Garcia cross to head the ball into the net, great goal. Canales equalised for Valencia before Verdú put Espanyol back into the lead.
It was then Valencia who got their noses in from with a strike by Soldado but a late 94th minute goal from Sergi Garcia meant the points were shared.
