The Council has approved a project to improve the lighting at Calahonda beach and along the surrounding cliffs so that the area is lit up throughout the night for the benefit of residents and tourists alike, particularly during the summer months.
The project is set to cost €89,664.93 and, as a result of the massive subsidy reduction implemented by the Junta de Andalucia, the Council will be requesting financial aid from the Málaga Provincial Government which, being of the same political persuasion, is likely to be more sympathetic.
