It is very difficult just to have one tapa at El Pulguilla in calle Cristo, Nerja, as they are always so rasty. My first was ‘bacalao’ (cod) and it was succulent, beautifully cooked and flavoured and covered with a garlicky sauce. The flavour of the sauce lingered, and I could still taste it over an hour later. Delightful.
My second tapa was a ‘pinchito’ (meat on a stick). Equally well cooked, juicy and full of flavour. Made an interesting mix with the lingering flavour of the cod!!
The cook for the tapas at El Pulguilla has been there for as long as I can remember, which must be a good sign. He certainly produces excellent tapas.
The temperature of the beer varies between -1.6 and -2.2.
A beer and a tapa, €1.70.
