Around 100 pupils from the Narixa and Joaquín Herrera schools have been participating in an educational campaign organised by the company Holcim. The course, aimed at both pupils and teachers, is intended to increase their knowledge and understanding of the realities of voluntary work.
The course has involved participatory activities and games relating to voluntary work, such as guessing games, charades, singing and dancing. The pupils have been learning to differentiate the different types of voluntary work, the impact upon those being helped as well as reflecting upon the possibility that they themselves could perform these tasks in the future.
In addition, it is hoped that the pupils involved in the course will encourage others to be aware of their environment and actively participate in such initiatives.
