A 37 year old British woman in Mijas has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after hitting two parked cars before flipping her vehicle and ending upside down. She blamed the incident on trying to avoid a cat which she said was crossing the road.
A police patrol found the overturned vehicle and noticed that the driver reeked of alcohol and was suffering loss of reflexes.
The woman admitted causing the accident, which she blamed on a stray cat, and also admitted to drinking three beers. A first breath test proved negative because the woman insisted on sucking instead of blowing into the machine. A second attempt proved equally unproductive as the woman refused to cooperate and blow into the machine.
