The Councillor for Infrastructure, Antonio García, has announced that once the technical reports have been finalised, the licence for the construction of three fords or bridges across the rio Seco will be issued to the public company Tragsa.
The works, costing over €80,000, are expected to start in a few weeks and will also include improvements to rural roads in Rio de la Miel.
The Council has been requesting this project for a long time, saying it would greatly benefit local residents in the area, tourism and agriculture. The project is being financed under the Encamina 2 programme of the Ministry of Agriculture.
