At the weekend it was the latest edition of Empúlpate, a gala music and dance show and contest involving pupils from Secondary and Baccalaureate. It was organised by the Local Association of Parents and was held at the Nerja Cultural Centre in calle Granada.
The winner was Luis Ángel, who performed a routine which involved the use of a bicycle. In second place was Marina Weber Pezzi whose performance involved dance and piano.
Third place went to a group called Mad Casino, the members being Griselda, Angelo, Fernando, Marco and Daniel.
It was a full house at the Nerja Cultural Centre with extra seating having to be brought in to avoid anyone being disappointed and missing out on the spectacle.
The show also featured a dance performance by last year’s winner, Alshira.
