Youth unemployment stands at over 50% and the Junta de Andalucia now wants to begin addressing the problem through a €200 million Emergency Employment Plan which, it claims, could create 30,000 jobs.
The decree, aimed at people under 35 years of age, has four sections. There is a €400 employment bonus that will benefit 3,125 young people who cannot find work after their training period.
There is €51 million available to create and consolidate jobs and businesses and to encourage innovation and self-employment.
Another €6 million is available to boost employment in social enterprises and there is €770,000 to fund scholarships for 120 students who will receive training in foreign trade.
