Mijas Council is continuing with its plans to improve electrical infrastructure in the town, and in the last few days has begun to replace 750 metres of cabling in Rincón del Hinojal.
The works will improve the supply to this area, reduce power outages and allow homes to have more power. Power supports are also being replaced to make maintenance easier and around 200 metres of cabling will be transferred underground.
In the historical centre, work continues to remove overhead cables, particularly the traditional spaghetti clusters on the facades of buildings, as both a safety measure and for image improvement.
