Two of the greatest figures in the world of flamenco, singer José Marcé and guitarist Manolo Sanlúcar, have been in Nerja, filming on the beach.
The filming is the latest part of an ambitious project started by Manolo Sanlúca, real name Manuel Muñoz Alarcón, back in 2008 which involves the recording of more than one hundred of the most famous living flamenco artists, both singing and dancing.
The project, ‘La guitarra flamenca según Sanlúcar’, is a sort of audio-visual encyclopedia of flamenco recorded in high definition.
Manolo Sanlúcar will be performing during the upcoming International Festival of Music and Dance at the Nerja Caves, namely on July 27th.

Playa Calahonda seems to be a popular venue for singers.
