The town was shrouded in a thick sea mist on Sunday morning but it didn’t have the usual coolness to it. Once it cleared it turned into quite a warm day!! Even when it had partially cleared, the lifeguard would have needed radar to spot anyone in distress.
Still comparatively quiet around town at the moment, but hopefully for the local businesses it will soon pick up.
Rumours abound that the new underground car park at Burriana beach, when it is eventually finished, is going to be quite costly when it comes to ticket prices, as one might expect, and it has already been suggested to paint it white and stick a pair of tusks on the roof.
Spanish visitors to the town are exceedingly reluctant to pay for parking and they can already be seen driving round and round until they find a space rather than use one of the parking facilities.
However, you never know. Just because none of the previous paid car parks has been a success doesn’t necessarily mean the one at Burriana is doomed to meet the same fate. Not that it really matters to the authorities, of course, whether it is utilised or not.
