Members of the Civil Protection were called out on Sunday afternoon to rescue a woman who injured her leg while walking along the rio Chillar.
The woman was part of a group of fifty people from Córdoba. She suffered the fall at the place known as the Salto Grande.
She was taken to the Health Centre for treatment where doctors advised a transfer to Vélez-Málaga. However, the woman refused, saying she preferred to return to Córdoba on the bus with the rest of her group.
She was taken to the bus by the Civil Protection but they managed to persuade her to go to hospital and be picked up from there by the bus.
