The British national identified as the suspect in the attempted abduction of a 12 year-old girl in Vélez-Málaga in November 2012 has been detained in Morocco after he attempted to abduct a 6 year-old girl.
Robert Edward Hill, aged 58 years, is a former professor who is considered a dangerous sex offender by the UK authorities. In November 2012 he allegedly tried to abduct a 12 year-old girl on the streets of Vélez-Málaga. An international warrant was issued for his arrest.
Hill was arrested in Tetuan, Morocco, on Tuesday while trying to abduct a 6 year-old girl. Neighbours were alerted by the girl’s cries and chased the suspect, managing to stop him and hold him until the police arrived.
Hill is also a suspect in the rape of two young Moroccans in Tetuán and Chefchaouen.
