It is always pleasant to eat down by the beach so I decided to try a (late) lunchtime meal at Chiringuito Mauri. They do paellas, sardines and legs of pork on an open fire but I went for some brochettes with salad, partly for a change but more importantly because I was rather too late for ‘lunch’ and it was all gone.
With beer at only €1, a good place for a relaxing time. The garden is quite spacious and you can watch the comings and goings on the beach.
If you are down that way, Mauri is a good haunt for a beer and a tapas and serves good food at very reasonable prices. I have sampled the paella and it is pretty good, the barbecued ham is really nice.
Service is prompt and there is always a good, fun atmosphere in the place.
