Peru’s National Ballet company is performing a version of Swan Lake by malagueño choreographer Fernando Hurtado, whose dance company has been based in Nerja since 2006 following a collaboration agreement made with the Town Hall.
The first performance, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, takes place at the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima, Peru, today, July 12th and the work will continue be staged at the theatre until July 23rd.
In August, Hurtado will be moving to Panama to stage a production of Hansel and Gretel.
During this two month tour of Peru and Panama, Fernando Hurtado will be promoting the Nerja Caves, having made an additional collaboration agreement with the Nerja Caves Foundation.
