The Virgen del Carmen procession wound its way through town from the Balcón de Europa to Torrecilla beach, crowds lining the streets to watch the spectacle.
The procession even managed to go down the newly finished calle El Barrio – finished today, just in time.
A glorious day for the celebration and the crowds followed the procession down to Torrecilla beach for the next stage of proceedings, loading the statue onto a boat for the journey to Calahonda beach. Vessels of all shapes and sizes accompany the statue as it slowly makes its way along the coast.
