The Málaga Aula del Mar – Marine Museum – will be setting up its mobile marine laboratory in a tent on Burriana beach on Tuesday July 23rd in order to promote environmental awareness, especially amongst children.
The exhibits will be divided into several different sections. The aim is to show that people can have fun on the sand and in the breakwaters without causing damage to the environment.
The breakwaters are home to various marine invertebrates such as barnacles, crabs, anemones and mussels and the exhibition will raise awareness as to the consequences of indiscriminate collecting of such creatures as well as the damage caused by leaving residue, namely rubbish, on the sand and in the water.
The exhibition is being set up as a fun event but with a serios and important message.
