Nice gentle stroll down to Burriana beach in the relative warmth of the midday sun. Some imaginative parking – pavements, yellow lines, into junctions.

It was a little disconcerting to see the Turd Patrol working so close to the beach, and swimmers, no more than five metres from the shore at times. Hopefully it was debris such as paper or bottles being collected on this occasion.
Lunchtime and Ayo’s was heaving as usual and Ayo himself was having fun posing with customers.
While Ayo’s was packed to the rafters as usual, the other Merenderos ranged from about one-quarter to three-quarters full.
