A total of 7.9 million international tourists visited Spain during July 2013, an increase of 2.9% over last year and the highest figure since 1995.
Nordic, British and Russian visitors showed a net growth with Andalucia and Cataluña being the main beneficiaries of the increase.
In the first seven months of the year, 34 million international tourists visited Spain, up by 3.9% over the same period in 2012. The UK market, the largest, rose by 4.3%, and the German market, the second largest, rose by 4.2% during the first seven months.
Cataluña received 25.8% of total arrivals, up by 5.1%, followed by the Balearics with 18.4% of total arrivals, up by 7.5%.
