According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), hotels in Andalucia registered 5.56 million overnight stays during July, an increase of 4.2% on the same month in 2012.
In the country as a whole, there were 37.5 million overnight stays during July, up by 0.5% on the previous year.
Hotel prices in Andalucia were, on average, down by 2.2% with revenue per occupied room (ADR) averaging €86 and income per room available (RevPar) of €53.50. The average stay of travellers was 3.45 nights, slightly up on last year.
Of the 5.56 million overnight stays, 3.16 million related to Spanish visitors and 2.4 million were international tourists.
As of July 2013, Andalucia has 2,583 open hotels with approximately 290,600 rooms available. They employ 37,884 staff.
