Two men, aged 32 and 53 years, have been arrested on suspicion of stealing 300 kilos of mangoes from a farm in Benamargosa.
Police were alerted to a theft from a farm in Benamargosa and, armed with the make, colour and licence plate of the vehicle used, managed to intercept and stop the vehicle on the A-365. Inside the vehicle were ten bags of mangoes weighing around 300 kilos and with a market value of €510.
After contacting the owner of the farm where the theft took place the police proceeded to arrest the two individuals and confiscate the vehicle.
