Roman Georgiev S., a 38-year-old Bulgarian national, has been arrested in Madrid for allegedly killing his partner, also a Bulgarian national.
The woman, 44-year-old Valya P., was found at her home in a shanty area on Avenida de Canillejas a Vicálvaro in Madrid. She had suffered several blows to the head, was bleeding from the mouth and was unconscious. Her partner was sitting next to her.
Valya P. was rushed to the October 12 Hospital but later died from her injuries.
The alleged assailant, Roman Georgiev S., has two prior convictions for abuse in 2010 and 2011 relating to another woman, a conviction for fraud in 2011 and was the subject of a restraining order relating to a previous partner.
