Two more cases of domestic violence with fatal results, one in Valencia and another in Ourense.
National Police in Valencia have arrested a 43-year-old Spanish national on suspicion of killing his 48-year-old girlfriend, also a Spanish national.
The incident occurred in calle Carolina Álvarez in the Camins al Grao district of Valencia. The woman died while being attended by medics. She had been stabbed.
Her partner had open wounds to the chest and neck, apparently self-inflicted, and was transferred to the Hospital Clinico where he underwent surgery.
In the town of Verín, Ourense, 52-year-old M.F.M.S.,, a Portuguese national, was allegedly killed by her former partner, a 62-year-old Brazilian national, F.S. The victim had already denounced her former partner for abuse.
The detainee has reportedly confessed to police that he strangled his former partner to death.
