La Linea Verde – The Green Line – is an initiative by Cártama Council to provide an environmental consulting service for businesses and citizens of the municipality. It covers various fields in environmental legislation, administrative procedures , news, events of interest , grants, subsidies
Up until this point the initiative has been vial the website www.lineaverdecartama.com, but now there is a free App available on both Android and IOS platforms, so you can download it to your phone from Google Play or the APP Store.
Find a pothole in the road, a street lamp out of commission, broken sewer, obstacle on the roads then you can report it immediately, complete with photo and geolocation if you so desire. Likewise with questions on environmentally related suvjects.
Once a report or question is submitted, an official of the City receives notice thereof and the procedures begin for resolving the issue or incident. The user will receive a response within 24 hours and will also be kept informed of progress etc.
Lighting, cleaning, street furniture, sewage, pest control and other items are all covered under the initiative. It sounds an excellent idea and if it works as intended, one which could, and maybe should be considered and implemented elsewhere.
