Six youths, five of them minors, were caught by Local Police officers as they tended marijuana plants in urbanisation Riviera del Sol in Mijas.
The administrator of the building notified the police that there were marijuana plants on the terrace of an embargoed property in the urbanisation and that a number of young people were going in and out on a regular basis.
The youths were a Chilean nation, nephew of the former owner, a Brazilian national, a British national and four Spanish nationals.
The parents of the minors were notified to collect their offspring and warned that the incident would be reported to the Juvenile Prosecutor. The adult of the group was charged under the Public Safety Act.
