The Feria del Rosario has started in Fuengirola, continuing until next Saturday, and the Council is determined to maintain a very ‘Andalucian’ character to the event.
Decorations on booths must be related to Andalucian culture, art and traditions and neon signs are not permitted.
The most controversial element since it was introduced in 2009 is the order that all music in the booths – casetas – must be in Spanish language. Furthermore, under no circumstances is music to be played from the following genres: funk, rap, reggae, electrónic, metal, alternative, hip hop, heavy metal, country, punk, gothic or latin rhythms.
Failure to observe these rules will result in intervention by the Local Police and a fine for as ‘minor offence’.
