Córdoba Police are investigating if too many tickets were sold at a nightclub where five people were injured this morning. The injured have since been discharged from hospital.
The owners of the club say that the party was organized by an external company who denies having breached the rules. The permitted capacity of the premises is 900 people and the police said that there were up to 1,500 outside. Witnesses said that many had tickets but could not access the club because of it being packed. Tickets were sold online and by the organisers of the party.
Five people had to be taken to hospital and police intervened to clear the area.
The authorities are now trying to quantify the number of tickets sold and are investigating potential liability of the company organising the party and the owners of the club who had reopened the venue for the occasion. FACUA is asking for exemplary sanctions if there are any irregularities discovered.
