A Court in Málaga has sentenced four people to terms of 3 years and 8 months in prison each and fined them a total of €2.5 million after they were caught unloading 1.6 tons of hashish onto a beach in Torrox Costa.
The incident occurred in March 2012 when the four men, all of Moroccan origin, participated in the unloading of 1,628 kilos of hashish onto a beach in Torrox. Several others involved in the unloading remain unidentified by the authorities.
The four men have been in custody since their initial arrest. The Court sentence is final as the defendants and their defence team came to an agreement with the prosecution.
