La Loca Carmela in calle Jaén, Nerja, opened at the beginning of November, taking over the premises formerly occupied by Bar Alameda. Changes to the decor, of course, but no great ‘gutting’ as is so often the case.
There is a good selection of tapas and I decided to try their patatas bravas – spicy potatoes. Quite different looking with the two sauces, but nice and spicy and very tasty. And a sizeable portion by any standard.
A dish of olives also accompanied the tapa, making it a very decent snack. Friendly, smiling staff add to the atmosphere making it well worth a visit.
