The body of a six-year-old Moroccan boy who disappeared on Monday in Palos de la Frontera, Huelva, has been found in an irrigation reservoir.
The boy, who was with his parents and just visiting the area, was last seen at around 17:00 on Monday afternoon in an area known as Las Malvinas. After searching the area themselves, the parents notified the Guardia Civil of the disappearance of the boy at around 22:30 and a search was launched.
The search continued on Tuesday and intensified after the discovery of the body of the dog who had been with the boy at the time of his disappearance. Also found was one of the boy’s shoes.
The body of the boy was found at 20:30. Drowning is thought to be the cause of death.
