The Guardia Civil has dismantled a gang of robbers, 18 men and 6 women, operating in Cádiz province. The gang also managed several drug outlets in the area.
The gang, often armed with knives or even Japanese swords, robbed the homes of the more vulnerable, such as the elderly or single women, and did not hesitate to use extreme violence during their attacks. They are known to have carried out at least a dozen robberies with violence.
The detainees, 25 Spaniards and one Russian, also operated six drug outlets in Cádiz, Puerto Real and Chiclana de la Frontera. They were also associated with an employee of a night club in Cádiz for the purpose of selling drugs.
Six homes were raided where the officers found cocaine, ketamine, hashish and marijuana.
