Two British nationals have been arrested in Frigiliana on suspicion of operating a marijuana plantation and drugs trafficking. Both are apparently the subjects of outstanding international arrest warrants issued by the British authorities.
The pair, 1 34-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were groowing marijuana plants on the terrace of their house which is located away from the centre. Security cameras had been installed to monitor both the inner and outer perimeters.
Police confiscated 775 grams of amphetamines, 152 marijuana plants, an SUV, mobile phones, a computer and other materials related to drugs.
Coordination with the British authorities led to the discovery that the two people were using fake names and were wanted in the UK, the man allegedly belonging to a major criminal organisation in Gloucestershire.
