The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has announced that the Provincial Council has awarded a grant of €164,640 for the construction of the access road to the yet to be built Fire Station on the Frigiliana road.
The grant awarded by the Provincial Council matches the budget of the project.
The proposed access road is around 400 metres in length and the project includes lighting, paving, landscaping and parking. The completion period has been set at four months and it could be ready by the end of the first quarter of 2014.
In addition, there is €116,000 for the construction of an access road to the new crematorium, which is located on the same site.
