Rincón de la Victoria Council has approved emergency measures to pay more than 2,000 bills outstanding to a total of 214 companies for a total amount of 12.2 million euros.
The Council announced that 76 percent of the bills to be paid in this new phase are less than 1,000 euros.
There are, however, some large amounts being paid to municipal or joint-venture companies, which seems a little like the left hand paying the right hand.
The water company Aquagest Sur will receive €1.2 million, the Fire Brigade €1.3 million, the Municipal Solid Waste Company will get €2.2 million and the Transport Company €206,000.
In addition, the joint-venture company EMMSA will receive €3.2 million, the Cueva del Tesoro will get €200,000, Ferrovial €114,000, Rofez €230,000 and Endesa will get €363,000.
