Being partial to a good croissant, I have been sampling a great number of these delights and, for what it is worth, my conclusions are as follows.
My award for the ‘best croissant’, taking into account consistency, taste and value for money, goes to the Salvador bakery at the top of calle Granada – at the junction with calle San Miguel.
Always fresh, a lovely fruity flavour, a good size and only €0.65.
For a ‘sticky’ croissant, large, quite doughy, very filling and priced at around €1, Ortiz in calle Diputación is the place to go.
