Iberian Partners, the company resulting from the integration of seven Coca Cola bottling companies, is to reorganise 20% of its workforce as part of restructuring plans.
The reorganization of the company structure takes place after the completion of the integration of the bottlers in one company, a move being made to create a single structure to operate as one company which will make it more agile, efficient and competitive.
There are currently eleven bottling plants, including two in Andalucia, (Málaga and Sevilla) but four of these will be closed down.
Around 1,200 employees are affected by the reorganisation which will be achieved through voluntary redundancies, early retirements and voluntary internal relocations.
The restructuring plan aims to integrate into a single business organization the hitherto different distinct business structures, thus avoiding duplication and inefficiencies that could end up affecting the future of the business project Iberian Partners.
Customer Service will be centralised in Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla and financial, legal, communications and human resources support will be available in five cities in Spain.
