The social wing of the ‘La Caixa’ Foundation is distributing one hundred hampers to families in Nerja who are suffering financial hardship. The initiative was launched by Ana María Soler, director of business at La Caixa in Málaga province.
Ana María Soler said that the idea is to make Christmas a little happier for those still suffering financial difficulties as a result of the economic crisis. Hampers have also been distributed in many other municipalities in the province.
The hampers will be delivered to the families by the Social Services and members of the charitable organisation Caritas.
