Málaga has a new landmark square in the historic centre of the city, according to the Council, with the inauguration of the Plaza de la Judería.
Ten years in the planning, the Plaza de la Judería lies between calle Granada and calle Alcazabilla, an area revitalised by the Picasso Museum and the restoration of the Roman Theatre.
The new square includes the Office of Rehabilitation of the Historic Centre of Málaga and four VPO houses.
The planned construction of a synagogue, however, has been postponed on financial grounds.
