An absolutely glorious Three Kings Day, clear blue skies, flat calm sea and quite a few people on Torrecilla beach. Not in the water, though, that would be going a bit too far. The benches were pretty full with people catching a few rays, some looking remarkably like lobsters.
In Plaza de los Cangrejos, Bamboo in particular was packed to the rafters at around four o’clock and some of the other restaurants were doing a fair old trade.
There are still roadworks going on in calle Chaparil and in calle Carmen, near the Town Hall.
It would seem that the rumour is true about the businesses on El Playazo being ‘asked’ to leave, but there seems to be confusion as to when this is supposed to happen, businesses interpreting the order somewhat differently.
What is certain is that the lawyers will be busy once they reopen for business as the mood at the beach is not a happy one.
