From January to March 2014, the Nerja Caves is offering a daily guided tour at no extra cost.
The tour takes place at 13:00 each day with a member of the Nerja Caves Foundation who will offer explanations and information in Spanish.
Visitors who would like explanations in English, French or German can do so by purchasing one of the new audio guides, the price €2.50.
During this winter period, the general visiting hours for the Nerja Caves have changed to 10:00 to 13:00 (one hour less than previously) and 16:00 to 18:30 (the same as before).
The special guided tours in the company of Miguel ‘Tito’ Joven from the hit TV series Verano Azul are continuing, these taking place daily at 14:00 and 18:30, when the Caves are closed. These tours can be booked online via the Nerja caves website, www.cuevadenerja.es.
Another new initiative which will be put into operation shortly is the possibility of an audiovisual presentation prior to entering the Nerja Caves so that visitors can get an idea of the history of the Caves and what to look out for before actually beginning their tour.
