Residents in calle Joaquina Eguaras in Granada city have been suffering power cuts and current fluctuations for three months now, with some of the worst outages occurring on Christmas Eve and at New Year.
These have not only been a nuisance, but have also caused damage to household appliances.
These prolonged cuts, which have lasted up to four hours at a time, began on October 8th and the buildings affected are all served by the same transformer.
The power company Endesa is aware of the situation and acknowledges a problem with one of the cables from the transformer and is said to be investigating the cause of the voltage reductions.
Residents have been submitting requests for compensation for damaged appliances but Endesa says they should claim such items through their household insurance.
