Guardia Civil divers have located the body of a 62-year-old man who disappeared when his car plunged into the river in Sanlúcar de Guadiana, Huelva, on Friday night.
A second man in the vehicle, a 57-year-old, managed to get out of the car and swim to the shore. He was treated in hospital for hypothermia.
The car was dragged from the river early this morning and the body was recovered just after midday. It had become hooked to a mooring buoy some 700 metres further downstream of where the incident occurred. An autopsy is being carried out.
