Nearly fell off my perch when I read the headline: Woman sues her solicitors because they ‘did not explain to her that finalising her divorce would mean her marriage was terminated’. Fortunately the case was rejected by Lord Justice Briggs, but it went all the way to the Court of Appeal. A sensible judicial decision for a change.
