The Councillor for Infrastructure, Antonio Garcia, has met with local residents in Maro to explain the works to be carried out shortly in calle Carmen.
The works include the renovation and expansion of the drinking water distribution system in the area, budgeted at €81,221, and the subsequent repaving of the street, the budget for this second phase currently being €43,935.
The paving in the street will be similar to that of calle Real and will be a single level. The street will become predominantly a pedestrianised area. The works are scheduled to begin at the end of January or early February and will last for approximately three months.
The Councillor also announced further projects to be carried out in Maro, including the paving of a stretch of road down to the beach and the installation of exercise equipment in the park at the entrance to the village.
