Spending by international tourists in Andalucia amounted to €8,390 million during 2013, an increase of 8.3% over 2012.
The figures are the result of a tourist spending survey carried out by Egatur for the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
Nationally, spending by international tourists reached 59.082 million euros in 2013, an increase of 9.6% over the previous year and represented an all-time record.
Catalluña led the way with 14.022 million euros, representing 23.7% of the total and an increase of 13.4 percent from 2012. Cataluña was followed by the Canaries, with 11.684 million euros and the Balearic Islands with 10.683 million euros.
