Rincón de la Victoria Council has approved the allocation of one million euros this year to enable the start of construction of an indoor swimming pool and a multi-sports facility to be located in Huerta Julián.
A further one million euros required to complete the project will be allocated in the 2015 budget.
The public company Tragsa will be responsible for equipping the complex and work is expected to start in March or April of this year.
The project consists of a multipurpose sports centre and an indoor pool with six lanes, a teaching pool, spa, gym, three indoor sports halls and a cafeteria. The plot of land being used is 18,350 square metres, of which 4,895 square metres are reserved for cultural facilities and a further 2,117 square metres for parking.
