The contract to refurbish the Interpretation Centre for Ronda Furniture, a building completed in 2006 at a cost of €1.2 million but hardly used, has been put out to tender.
The Council has considered various uses for the building over the years but have now decided it will be for the Ronda Hostelry School. Because the building, a wood and crystal structure, has had very little use, it has, as one would expect, deteriorated.
The deadline for bids is March 7th 2014 and interested companies can find details of the bidding rules on the municipal website, www.ronda.es. The budget for the renovations will be around €360,000.
Also going out to tender shortly is the contract to complete the works in urbanisation Arenal 2000 (budget around €507,000) and the contract to build the district library (budget of over €1 million).
